The holiday cover features four generations of resilient Northern New Mexican women dedicated to public service and the traditions of the Land of Enchantment. At the center of this family is matriarch Ruth Ortiz, who takes great pride in her large, loving clan. Though she grew up as an only child, she now enjoys the blessings of 6 children, 14 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren (with another on the way this December), and 2 great-great-grandchildren (with another expected in May 2025).
Meet Ruth Ortiz, Theresa Ortiz, Serena Rodriguez, Krista Serrano (19 yrs), and Alicia Serrano (13 yrs).

What accomplishments are you most proud of within your family?
