Meet Cover Kid Jay Baca, 10 Years Old



How do you like to spend your time?

Jay: I like to spend my time playing basketball, reading, and building things.



What do you think will be different about the world when you are an adult?

Jay: It will have more advanced science than we do now, and I will probably see the world differently than I do now.



Who are your best friends and why do you like each other?

Jay: I don’t want to disclose their names because I don’t have confirmation that they want to be in this magazine or not, but we all like each other because we are the same age and I guess you could say we don’t like each other for any specific reason, we just do.



What do you think your parents do at work all day?

Jay: Well, I didn’t go to law school so it’s kind of unclear what my dad and my stepmom do, and my mom paints murals.



What’s the most important rule that you know of?

Jay: Well, I guess it depends on the question, but just in my principles, I would probably say it’s don’t burn the house down.
